Every residential and commercial property requires an application for service.

Account Establishment Fee

Desert Water Agency assesses a $30 account establishment fee to all new accounts on the first bill.

Residential Accounts

Property owners: Owners must set up all accounts whether the property is rented, leased or owned.

Tenants: Property owners may authorize tenants to be billed directly; however, the owner is responsible for all unpaid charges. If the property has a new owner, please advise them to submit an owner’s application so that DWA records are accurate and your water service remains on.

Realtors: Complete the request to start service as property owner and provide a listing agreement that you are the authorized agent for the property owner and responsible for water service. A $100 deposit and $30 establishment fee must be paid upfront before service can be turned on.

Commercial Accounts

For commercial and business properties, a deposit will be charged on your first bill based on the meter size below. If you have any questions, please contact our office.

• 1” $100
• 1 ½” $150
• 2” + $200

Stop Service

When service is discontinued, the water will be turned off the morning of the day you choose.
