Water Meter and Service Fees

To determine the total fees for water meter installation, you will need to combine the following costs.

Backup Facility Cost

These charges vary according to zone, and meter size. Use the Zone Pumping map here to determine the zone in which you are located. This charge provides for source of supply and storage for all regular service connections.

Surface Restoration

If concrete and/or asphalt pavement removal and replacement are required, a charge for asphalt pavement will be added as noted below.

Plan Check Fees       

DWA strives to complete plan check reviews in a timely manner. However, review durations vary depending on the complexity of the project and completeness of the submitted plans. A thorough review of DWA specifications and requirements prior to submittal is strongly recommended to reduce review comments and resubmittals

  1. Non-Residential: $280
  2. Developer Installed: $280 plus $0.35 per linear foot (main extensions up to three redlines)

 

Design Review Fees

Fees charged for design review for water facilities shall be no less than a 4-hour minimum charge as follows:

  1. Agency Engineering Department: $140 per hour
  2. Engineering Consultants: Actual cost plus 15%
  3. Legal Consultants: Actual cost plus 15%

 

Development Review

A charge for Agency-provided administrative services shall be collected at the rate of $140 for each of the following:

  1. Will Serve Letter
  2. R/W / Easement Vacation Letter
  3. Response to Initial Study
  4. Non-Interference Letter

 

Fire Flow Model and Verification Fees

The following charges shall be imposed for fire flow model analysis and verification within our domestic water service area:

  1. Fire Flow Model and Letter: $500
  2. Fire Flow Verification Letter: $70

Meter Test Deposit

The required deposit for testing a water meter shall be as follows:
