Desert Water Agency (DWA) is committed to protecting and advancing the water resources that support our community, both today and into the future. Through proactive engagement at the local, state, and federal levels, DWA works to shape policies, secure funding opportunities, and advocate for legislation that supports safe, reliable, and affordable water. 

DWA’s Government Affairs team  focuses on monitoring and influencing legislative and regulatory issues that impact water supply, groundwater management, infrastructure investment, and long-term sustainability. By working closely with policymakers, partner agencies, and stakeholders, DWA ensures that the interests of its customers and the Coachella Valley are effectively represented.

The Agency’s priorities are outlined in its Legislative and Policy Platform, which is reviewed and updated regularly by the Board of Directors. This document guides DWA’s advocacy efforts and positions on key issues.
